After this, in 1999, he was again elected to the 13th Lok Sabha from the Uttar Pradesh state (India) constituency. In 2004, he was re-elected for the 14th Lok Sabha on the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket for the Balrampur constituency of Uttar Pradesh state. He joined the Samajwadi Party on 20 July 2008. Once again he was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha in 2009 from Kaiserganj constituency of Uttar Pradesh state. He then joined the Bharatiya Janata Party a few months before the 16th General Election, now he is a member of the 17th Lok Sabha of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Apart from this, he is the President of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).

The first election and was the moment when he came in contact with BJP.

In 1991, he contested against Aanand Singh, he won by 1,13000 votes in that election, and became a member of the Gonda district. Brijbhushan locked due to TADA. After that, BJP gave the ticket of Brij Bhushan to his wife Smt Ketki gave to Devi. Ketki Devi contested against Aanand Singh and won the election by 80,000 votes. Brijbhushan Sharan Singh was given a ticket from the Balrampur constituency in 1999. Which was considered Shri Vajpayee’s KARMBHOOMI. Brijbhushan Sharan Singh won the election with 54000 votes.
